Executive Associate Program

Overview

The Executive Associate Program (EA Program) is MGM Resorts International’s professional development program aimed at recruiting recent MBA graduates from top-tier business schools and preparing them for future leadership roles with the Company. This program typically concludes after 18 months; however the specification duration is flexible based on performance of the Executive Associate and business needs. Executive Associates are exposed to senior executive leadership while being placed in roles that support the Company’s strategic vision and contribute to its overall operating performance. The 2016 Executive Associate Program is currently only available at our Las Vegas resort properties.

The Executive Associate Program offers two distinct track offerings:

  • Summer Executive Associate Program – Available to current MBA first-year students for a 10-week placement during the summer, working on high-impact projects at a targeted division within the Company.
  • Full-Time Executive Associate Program – Available to recent MBA graduates to join the Company on a permanent basis, with placements into 6-12 month rotations to work in long-term roles within various functional areas based on the individual’s skills, experience, and interest.

Program Requirements

  • Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis. MGM Resorts EA Program does not currently sponsor candidates for work authorization.
  • Have successfully completed a full-time MBA program at an accredited college or university within 18-months of the program’s start in June.
  • Have successfully completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited college or university in Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative field preferred, though all majors may be considered.
  • Superior academic track record and standardized test scores preferred.
  • Previous work experience in management consulting, finance, consumer products, marketing, and/or brand management preferred.

Relocation and Temporary Housing

There are plenty of housing options available for Full-Time Executive Associates relocating to Las Vegas, while our summer Executive Associates are provided housing at one of our properties on The Strip. Many of our employees live in master-planned communities such as Summerlin, Green Valley, Mountain's Edge, among many others. Many communities feature their own shopping centers, malls, physicians, and local dining establishments. Full-Time Executive Associates do receive a relocation package, which is disclosed upon receiving a job offer.

Transportation

Transportation is not provided by MGM Resorts International, but public transportation is a viable service that is available to team members for a small fee through the Regional Transportation Authority of Southern Nevada. Although transportation is provided at a small fee by the Regional Transportation Authority of Southern Nevada, we encourage participants to bring a vehicle if they have one for their convenience.

Participants will be available to purchase bus passes at the MGM Resorts International Corporate Rate. A 24/7 bus line runs on the Las Vegas Strip properties and other local areas which include local merchants for groceries and sundries. Participants are ultimately responsible for their own transportation to and from work, and public transportation may not always coincide exactly with your work schedule.

All participants who operate a vehicle on property must have valid automobile liability insurance issued by an insurance company and authorized to sell automobile liability insurance in the United States (including the State of Nevada) that will cover any property damage or personal injury (including but not limited to serious bodily injury or death) caused by the participant while operating a vehicle.
